Cisco CCDP Certification
Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) validates advanced knowledge of network design concepts and principles.

On February 24, 2020, Cisco will release new certification exams. New training will roll out over the next several months. If you have started working toward the current CCDP certification, then keep going. If you gain your CCDP certification before February 24, then you will automatically be given the new CCNP Enterprise Certification plus 2 Specialist Certifications. IF you do not complete before the February 24, 2020 then you will receive credit for work you’ve already completed.
The Cisco Certified Design Professional certification builds from the design principles within CCDA and is specifically aligned to the range of actual job tasks senior network design engineers perform from advanced addressing and routing solutions to overseeing capacity planning of network upgrades and new services within Enterprise network architectures.
The latest changes to the Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture Course has extended the Design perspective across all segments of Cisco's Enterprise Network architecture while adding focus on services virtualisation and the path toward programmable controller based architectures.
CCDP Prerequisites
A valid Cisco CCDA and CCNA Routing and Switching Certification or a Cisco CCIE Certification in any track is a prerequisite for achieving this certification.

CCDP Recertification
Cisco Professional-level certifications (CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNP Wireless, CCDP, CCNP Security, CCNP Voice, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Service Provider and CCNP Data Center) are valid for three years.
To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
- Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
- Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
- Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
- Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
