The AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty exam validates technical skills and experience in designing and implementing AWS services to derive value from data. The exam is for individuals who perform complex Big Data analyses.

You should understand how to:

• Implement core AWS Big Data services according to basic architectural best practices
• Understand how to properly control access to secure data
• Understand the frameworks that underpin the large scale distributed systems like Hadoop/Spark and MPP data warehouses
• Design scalable and cost effective architecture to process data

Prerequisites:

• Any current Associate-level certification
• Minimum five-years’ hands-on experience in data analytics
• Background in defining and architect AWS big data services and clearly explain how they fit in the data lifecycle of collection, ingestion, storage, processing and visualization
• Experience in designing a scalable and cost effective architecture to process data
